Part of my wonderful recent adventure in California was to attend the photo shoot where Leighton Stultz and Danie Yssel were becoming part of Bruno Serato's project to create a coffee table which will be his interpretation of food and people together. Bruno told me that the sensuality of both is a good match and the presentation will be unique.  It will also include some of Bruno's famous recipes used at the Anaheim White House restaurant.

I have to admit that I was a bit of a disruptive influence at the shoot as I played photographer, capturing behind the scenes moments on my old camera. But, all went well, and it was another great day in California for all of us as Leighton notes.

I took a moment or two to ask Leighton a few questions about the shoot and some other topics as 2006 comes to a close. I appreciate his kind words of course but let me tell you, not only do Connex247 readers make great comments about him, many folks we met told me how much they liked his lack of "attitude" and laid back professionalism!

Mike:  First, you now have the most popular story in the history of Connex247.. tell us how you feel about being so popular.

Leighton: Well it's great to know that my hard work hasn't gone without notice. I want everyone to know that I'm very thankful and always will be. The truth is I feel like I do nothing compared to the work and effort Mike puts in day after day. I've never got a "big head" about things which keeps my head straight and focused on the real people who deserve special thanks, all of you!

Mike: How will you spend the holiday season?

Leighton: My Christmas this year will be spent with family (my parents' house) and New Years will be in New York so I think this holiday season will be a blast. I want to wish each and everyone of you the greatest throughout your hoildays!

Mike: How about a year end message to your fans?

Leighton: I don't know if I would actually call all of you fans lol, your more friends to me than fans. Mike: Leighton, let's move on to the photo shoot for Bruno Serato's book. As you know I am still excited about our trip to California.

Leighton:  I really think the best part of the book shoot was spending it with great friends and how it's something I'll never forget. I had the best time and sad to say even though the shoot went well and I can't wait for the book to come out, I'm more grateful because I spent time with some very special people.

Mike: Do you do anything special to prepare?

Leighton: As fas as getting ready before a shoot, I don't do much. More or less just be myself, not trying to sound cocky at all it's just at first i'm alittle nervous but after about 15 minutes of shooting I start to get into it and that's when the best pictures turn out. The shoot was really fun, having my friends there's made it more relaxing to me. From the beautiful girl doing the makeup to Mike and Danie in the background cracking jokes made it that much better. It's one of those times in life where you wish it something you could go back to over and over again. The book shoot took place in Anaheim CA at Bruno's Anaheim White House Restaurant. SO BEAUTIFUL THERE!

Mike: And now Bruno is on Myspace?

Leighton: YEP you've heard right. Bruno is on myspace and if i can ask a favor, ADD HIM! not only because I put his site together but because it's a great place to eat but you'll have a hard time finding ANYTHING you don't love about it. If you are ever in the area, eat there.. you can even ask for a discount on me lol.. I'll make sure he hooks you up. He might kill me but you deserve it. LOL
