Edward: Hi Scott, welcome to Connex247 family!!
Scott: Hey, thank you for having me, its a pleasure. Well, Im twenty years of age soon to be twenty one and currently living in Derbyshire, England. I am half Scottish and half English so you can imagine Im used to the cold climate! I work on a full-time basis as a Fitness Professional and an Indoor Cycling Instructor and have been doing so for the last year and a half.
My fitness career has a big impact on both my personality and how I look as I train a lot. I weight train 4-5 times per week and teach 2-4 indoor cycling classes per week. I keep to a good diet based on how and when I train but I am very partial to a treat now and again. At the moment I model as and when I can, fitting it between working days and sometimes taking the odd day off work for a photoshoot.
Edward: How did you get started as a model?
Scott: I had done my first professional photo shoot with Carl Timson. He was a pleasure to work with; a great photographer and he gave me advice and guidance which has helped me greatly. I organised the shoot with Carl through Modelmayhem.com and once I had posted the resulting images up onto my profile, I was getting photo shoot offers from around the country and even beyond. I then was test shooting to build up a portfolio which I am very proud of and always adding new images to. Travelling to photo shoots from as north as Nottingham, to as south as London.
Edward: What are your goals?
Scott: I have always wanted to feature in Mens Health and/or Mens Fitness magazines. Is I am in the fitness industry it would be easy for me to write an article on any kind of training regime and a dietary plan to go along with it. This feature would show pictures of me either demonstrating the exercises involved in the regime or finishing results pictures for people who may want to achieve the body I have through training correctly.
Edward: What is fashion for you? Do you think it´s a glamorous world?
Scott: I am very much into fashion and always tend to spend that little bit more on designer clothing. I think fashion is very important in both everyday life and modelling. Its what makes someone stand out in a crowd as well as making them feel a million dollars while wearing the jacket theyve been saving up all month for. In modelling, fashion is very important.
The top designers get more attention because they put more effort into their clothes and the quality is a high standard. Thats one of the many reasons why people like me spend more to wear their clothing. Fashion is a very glamorous world to me because I feel it is important. It helps you to look good and therefore feel good.
Edward: IMAGE worth more than a THOUSAND WORDS?
Scott: Of course, there are images Ive seen in models and photographers portfolios which I really feel the urge to comment on, but words cannot always describe the way I feel about an image. You just have to sit back and enjoy it.
Edward: Are you a fashion guy?
Scott: Like I said before I am very into fashion, unless I am at work or in the gym I am always wearing top brand names. Wearing clothes that are of a good quality material, great fitting to your body and obviously look good will keep you happy and get you noticed when walking down the high street.
Edward: Quick questions for quick answers
Scott:
Eating: Fish or meat?
I like to vary between the two but I like tuna and chicken best.
Vacation: Beach or the mountains?
Beach, beach, beach!
Movies: Action film or romantic ones?
On my own or with mates its got to be action. If its a quiet night in with a certain female... romantic.
Dating: Ask or get asked?
As a gentleman should, I tend to ask, but if the right person asked me first I wouldnt say no.
Place to make love: at home, in the middle of a crowd, in a party or on a paradisiacal island?
The paradisiacal island sounds good!
Sports: Group or individual ones?
Im more into individual sports as youre not relying on anyone but yourself, and its easier to see if youre improving or not.
Way of travel: by train, plane, ship or bike?
I love planes as the only time Im on them is when Im going on holiday, but if Im travelling for a modelling shoot I prefer the train, so I can put my feet up and focus.
Best season: spring, summer, autumm or winter
Summer by far, I prefer the t-shirt weather and theres nothing better than not having to pay to get a good sun tan.
An unforgettable moment:
There isnt much that can beat spending Christmas with family and closest friends.
Your main motto:
If you want to achieve in life, youve got to be willing to try.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Socialising with friends
Training in the gym
A good film at the cinema
The beach on holiday
Theres no place like home after a hard day at work
Edward: Scott, thanks so much for sharing your story with us. A final message?
Scott: I have very high aspirations for modelling and always work my very hardest at everything I do. In the three months I have been modelling I have achieved a great portfolio that both I am proud of and other models aspire to. Fashion is a big part of my everyday life and always has been, I see myself modelling for fashion designers and fitness magazines as thats where I want to be, therefore I will put in all the effort needed to make it happen.
I am twenty years of age and still have the best part of ten years in modelling. I greatly enjoy modelling, otherwise I wouldnt be doing it, and I believe I will go far. The rest is up to you.
