To be honest I felt like a member of the A Team during my recent visit to California where I was making some appearances and planning some new projects. But the highlight of the trip really was being the guest of Bruno Serato, who has been recognized widely for his charitable work, including Citizen of the Year in the City of Anaheim. Bruno is also the proprietor of the famous Anaheim White House restaurant.
I am not even going to try and tell you everything about the restaurant and its great food, other than to say, it was really the experience of a lifetime to be picked up in a limousine, and taken as special guest to the restaurant where the service, and of course the food made me feel I was really at the White House for dinner.
And I live in Georgia right now, and our native son President Jimmy Carter has been for dinner at the Anaheim White House!!!
Let me tell you a little about Bruno who came to the United States from Italy and started the restaurant in 1987. Bruno has won many personal awards and so has the restaurant. Recently he was named the Cornerstone Humanitarian of the Year as part of the National Restaurant Association's seventh annual Restaurant Neighbor Award for his dedication to helping underprivileged children. He was presented the award at a meeting in Washington, DC.
I was really privileged to spend time with some of the kids that Bruno helps. It made me realize how fortunate I am. Thanks Bruno.
Well, it was time for me to head for dinner. I had been talking with Mike Morris on the phone, and told him I had to get ready as 'the taxi' was coming for me. Wow!!! I had no idea it would be a stretch limousine with me as the only passenger heading off to dinner at the Anaheim White House along with everywhere else I did during my stay in Cali. As you can see from the photos I could not resist playing this one for all it was worth.
Upon arrival I was greeted by Bruno who showed me around the fantastic restaurant which he told me also has 12 private dining rooms.
I know you are going to ask me what I ate and well to tell you the truth I ate everything. The Anaheim White House specializes in Italian and seafood dishes, and I tried everything I could while there. It was all great of course. As you know I am not a restaurant reviewer, but it is Five Stars plus in my book.

Of course I also sampled some of the more than 200 California and European wines that Bruno has available!!!!!
And joining us for dinner were the world renowned photographer Greg Gorman, and other celebrities. As I said I really felt like I was on the A team, and express my great thanks to Bruno for his hospitality. He is truly a super host.

Thanks Bruno.
