Connex247: How did you decide to become a fitness model?
Lance: I started modeling for fun and I loved fitness, so combining the two, was a natural. Plus, I can’t go to a photoshoot, without somehow ending up shirtless. I am always happy to oblige, ‘cause I love showing my body! Bare-chested confidence is very sexy!
Connex247: As a famous fitness model you think you already achieved your main purposes in this modeling market?
Lance: I think I have. I have no desire to expand into acting, or be on the OPRAH show, training celebs. I really enjoy helping everyday people, through my website, and at my gym PEAK PHYSIQUE. I also enjoy my work with MegaMuscle. I shot some great videos with them, and look forward to doing more real soon.
Connex247: Is it a tough career? What kind of sacrifices this career demands?
Lance: Much more tough than people think. The competition can be very tough. The actual photoshoots are tedious and exhausting. Not to mention intense daily workouts and maintaining a strict diet.
Sacrifices include, cardio at 5am, many hours of training each week, and depriving myself of the pizza, ice cream, and cookies that I love!! It is all worth it though, to stay in shape.
Connex247: How do you rate beauty and elegance in your life?
Lance: I would be disingenuous, if I said that it wasn’t important to me. People tell me all the time that I’m hot, and got a sexy body. But I’ve worked hard and made a lot of sacrifices, so I don’t think it is wrong to take those attributes as far as possible in life. But while it may define me as a fitness model, it is important NOT to let beauty and elegance dominate or define who I truly am as a person.
Do you think these attributes really help a person to be well succeeded a career?
Sure. Especially in the modeling industry. You have to showcase your best assets. For me, that means taking off my shirt! .. But in any career, our appearance is how we make “first impressions” on others.
I think it is healthy to have a certain amount of self-worth. So I value my health, appearance, and the impression I leave on others. Of course, I always strive to follow through by being a good person.
Connex247: Just imagine a situation: You are anonymous in a crowd. Nobody notices you. Then all of a sudden, a fan approaches you and reveals to others that you are a model from a popular fitness magazine. The excitement takes over and the crowd gets wild. How would you handle it?
Lance: Actually, that sounds unds pretty frightening! I don’t enjoy being the center of attention in a large crowd. (just small crowds!) LOL But when I am with friends and we hang out at a club, or party….to be singled out…well, let’s just say that it makes me very uncomfortable. In the past, I have simply smiled and tried to divert the attention or subject onto something else.
Connex247: The secret of such amazing body!! Tell us Lance, what..s your secret to be in a good shape and what..s the part of your body you like most? Why?
Lance: The secret is to visualize what you want. Maintain unwavering focus on that goal. Educate yourself on how to reach that goal, then stay religiously committed and dedicated. Probably my chest is my favorite body part. I often train shirtless in my gym so I can watch my form and muscles working.
Connex247: Do u have any special dream? If you could choose 3 most important things for your life, what would it be?
Lance: My dream is to be a dad! I would love to have a son. 3 important things to me is my health, to be in love, and be loved in return.
