Cody T: How did you get into such great shape?
Kevin: Right after puberty I was chubby and kind of weak and really not very impressive to look at weighed 145 at nearly my full height of 6'3". This was 7 years ago. Then I kept meeting people that I wanted to be like and kept lifting for football and eventually i got up to 200+ by senior year of highschool.
In college i finally took it serious exactly 2 years ago when i attempted to get fat to make a sweet transformation for spring break. It failed and since then I've decided diet and exercise are essential to being the best I can possibly be
Cody T: And what keeps you motivated now? What advice would you give to others?
Kevin: My motivation now comes from the consistent photo shoot scheduling. John Mitchell from BBpics has been really great at making sure I've stayed on track. Other than that the same drive for perfection that got me to where I am now continues to fuel my further progression.
As for others, I would say training needs to become consistent and effective For diet, discipline and knowledge are key. There are so many aspects to nutrition involving timing, size, macronutrients, digestion rate, supplementation etc to manipulate to achieve a great physique with relative ease.
So you have to know what to do, then execute essentially. All depends on how bad you want it
Cody T: And what's your favorite exercise?
Kevin: lol, I absolutely love every exercise I do if I'm in the right mood but my fav is actually hang cleans. I love it because it is raw and a great testament of pure, explosive, and functional power. Plus it gets lots of looks and rips apart my traps, back, legs, arms, and forearms.
To do it you grab the bar overhead about shoulder width and pick it up to knee level. You bend forward and explode upwards with the bar and catch iton your front delts in a sort of front squat position.
This mainly only affects my grip on the day of lifting, but it is the most fun lift for me because you essentially are throwing around weight I use it as a warmup on backday before I do deadlifts and weighted pullups. Only been doing this kind of regime for a year or so but my back went from nonexistent to prominent pretty quickly.

CodyT: What about you? Where are you from and what do you want to do?
Kevin: From Tucson, AZ. I want to finish my degrees in marketing and nutrition and either enter the corporate world and aggressively climb the ranks or ambitiously start a nutritional consulting business.
Either way, I will be doing something to encourage a positive physique whether it be bodybuilding or modeling.
I want to be successful enough to be able to afford all the insane high performance cars I've dreamt about my whole life, and enough money to pay for the tickets and court fees associated with those cars .
I want to leave Tucson though, definitely love the structure of a strategically built city and Tucson is far from that. I am looking to get married and start a family relatively early in life as I am excited to see my kids and watch them grow
Cody T: How do you feel about modeling?
Kevin: I feel it is a good hobby. In 3 months I have changed so much because of it and I feel its for the better. I don't know where it's going to take me but i pursue all potential modeling assignments with a passion I could only wish I would apply towards other aspects in my life.
Cody T: And how do you feel about your fans?
Kevin: I actually have fans outside of my mom, dad and sister? It's kind of hard to believe, I even have fans.
Lol, but to those who do appreciate the work I've put into my physique I hope I help inspire them to do the same. You can do it too!
