DonnaD:  Give us some of your personal interests Kairon.

Kairon:  My personal interests are automobile street racing, basketball, computers, traveling, comedy clubs, dining out, theater, Las Vegas, and movie going. My professional interests are music production, singing, acting, modeling, film making, web design, FBI, CIA, architecture, Lawyer, and event planning/promotions.

DonnaD:  Share some of your current activities with us.

Kairon:  Lately, I have started a company doing website development.  I am also slated to star in the movie, “Call Boy” and co-star in the television series, “The DL Chronicles.’ In addition to that, I am currently starring in a short film called, “The Couple” and shall plague the airwaves in a national Chevy commercial. I have many other strong possibilities luring around the corner as well. The last television series that I guest starred on was “Noah’s Arc.”

DonnaD:  Share some of the highlights of your career.

Kairon:  As a child, I was turned on to acting by Will Smith.  I used to watch the Fresh Prince of Bel Air religiously! The out-takes are what led me to become an actor. Will Smith was VERY instrumental in me becoming an actor. I got my first break while working for a frozen yogurt company. Two guys came in and told me that I should be in film/tv – that I had “the look.” So they introduced me to some people, and one thing led to another.

But basically, I had to get there on my own because in many ways, the two guys mentioned above hindered/slowed the process of my acting career down because I wouldn’t give in to certain demands. My interests as a Film Maker extend from watching the movie production trailers (i.e. MGM lion roar, or the 20th Century Fox theme) just before the movie began and dreaming of my own company. I would literally not want to watch the movie if I missed that! Crazy? Yeah! But that was me.  I especially couldn’t miss the THX sound screen demonstration before a movie either!

DonnaD:  Who would you like to work with?

Kairon:  I would love to work with Tyler Perry, John Singleton, Michael Mann, Michael Bay, Quentin Tarantino, and Jerry Bruckheimer.  In terms of what actors, I would love to work with Will Smith, Janet Jackson, Queen Latifa, Jack Nicholson, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Sanaa Lathan, Angella Bassett, Loretta Divine, Nick Cannon, Brandy Norwood, and Jamie Foxx, just to name a few. 

Although my focus as an actor is film, the television series that I’d die to be a part of is “24” with Keifer Sutherland. I would also love to work with Roland Emmerich at Centropolis once again. I truly enjoyed working with him on the movie, “Star Gate.” He kept me laughing the whole time – great guy.

DonnaD:  Any thoughts on the downside?

Kairon:  Because I am a very mixed black male, my unique look and style has so far worked against me in terms of modeling and acting.

DonnaD:  What do you see as your three greatest assets?

Kairon:  My greatest three assets are a) my level of intelligence, b) my physique, and c) my giving/caring spirit.

DonnaD:  Give us a prediction.. 10 years fron now?

Kairon:  In 10 years I see myself achieving my every goal – from acting to film making; from modeling to singing.  I just feel that if I put my mind to it and NEVER give up, that God will bless me with the prize. I do very much see myself as a viable entity.

DonnaD:  Tell us about your workout plan.

Kairon:  I work out approximately 4-5 days a week… usually involving one hour sessions. Would work out longer, but usually I don’t have the time. My workout mainly consists of calisthenics (push-ups, dips, pull-ups, crunches, squats, etc.). In addition to that, but not limited to, I also add bench press, curls, leg press, leg curls, and 1 mile at a fast pace on the treadmill.

DonnaD:  What advice would you offer to others?

Kairon:  The best advice I can give is from the Nike slogan, “JUST DO IT.” And, never say I can’t or let someone else tell you that you can’t. I believe that whatever we put out into the world in words has a strong potential of happening. Therefore, I would also suggest that one should be positive and speak only those things that you wish to happen in an affirmative or positive light. I would also surround myself with people that have the same interest AND drive. Finally, I would advice one to learn the business!  It is a business after all.

DonnaD:  And how about your career as a singer?

Kairon:  In terms of my singing career. This is all new to me! I shall actually be casting, in June, for 2 singers to sing with me in a trio. It should be great! The style is more on the lines of R&B.  Kind of the old school Ginuwine mixed with a little Shai.
