LOVING COLORADO
I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin and moved to Colorado 2 weeks after graduating college. I moved here to enjoy the beauty and vast activities that Colorado offers.
I love being in the mountains, biking, hiking, skiing, camping, climbing, and wakeboarding.
SAYING SOMETHING!
I decided in high school that I wanted to model. However I did not begin getting into it until after college when I was dating a girl who was with an agency and I signed with them. I decided I wanted to model because I work hard for my body and love the challenge of saying something in a picture and making the person viewing the image feel something. Some sacrifices are having to do things that most people dont understand, such as the strict dieting and work out routine.
People who are not in the industry do not always understand why you cant just have a couple beers and a burger.
NOT A 'NORMAL' JOB
Another sacrifice is not having the stability of a normal job. However, if I did have a normal job I would not be happy because I would not have the freedom to do the things that I love.
My first shoot was interesting because I had no idea what I was doing. I was basically just waiting for the photographer to tell me what to do. I did not know if I should flex or just stand there or what to do! It was interesting and thankfully I have learned from my past experiences!!
GREATEST INSPIRATION
My greatest inspiration is waking up every morning and still being alive. I know everything can be taken from me in an instant so just being alive is inspiration enough for me to work hard every day. My greatest professional dream is to land a major ad campaign for for a big company like Nautica and/or Armani. There are several agencies that I would like to get representation with.
JUST HANGING OUT
I would not consider myself to be a fashion guy. I dress nice when I need to but for the most part I am jeans and a t-shirt or work out clothes. I like being comfortable. That does not mean that I wont rock a suit and tie if I need to! In my free time I love to be outside. Colorado is so beautiful that I try to enjoy it as much as I can. I love hanging out with my friends and going out dancing but I also enjoy a quiet night of barbequing and watching movies.
PREPARING MENTALLY
I like a photographer that is open to suggestions and is open to going with the flow of a shoot. Sometimes I get in a mood with a shoot and I appreciate when the photographer just goes with it to see what happens. As far as preparations I like to know where the shoot is suppose to go so I can mentally prepare for how to portray the feel of the shoot.
THE BATHROOM
I was doing a show once and the place where we were doing the show was very small and we had to use the women´s bathroom for the dressing room. It was interesting having women coming in and going to the bathroom while we were changing!!
THE FAN RUSH
At first I would probably get a little embarrassed but I would just go with the flow. If people wanted autographs or pictures with me I would do my best to sign as many autographs and take as many pictures as I could.9-
NO FITNESS SECRETS
I love sports! I began playing sports competitively at age 6 and played football for 4 years in college. I do not really have any secrets to staying in shape. It is just diet and exercise and being disciplined enough to not let myself slack on my workouts or cheat (to much) on my diet! I do not use supplements very often and just eat right and try to get some form of exercise in 6 or 7 days a week. I do not spend hrs on end working out but just try to be consistent with what works for me. My favorite body parts are probably my calves and my abs.
WHAT'S IMPORTANT
- My family
- My health
- Nature
- My toys (bike, skiis, camping gear, car etc)
- Vacations
AMERICAN ELECTION
I think this is a very important election for the future of America and the world. With the issues that we are facing as a society (global warming, energy, war, etc) it is going to be very important for the next administration to make some very important and crucial decisions that will impact all of us for generations to come. I do not consider myself to be a republican or democrat. I vote for whom ever I feel will do the best job and has the same or similar views on issues that are important to me.
IN LOVE WITH ACTING
I had just begun modeling and my agent at the time suggested that I try acting. So, I began investigating it and got a part in a small trailer that was being made and fell in love with acting! The stunts are an extension of the acting. I think show business can be overwhelming. Some people handle it well and do not let it go to their heads, while others let it consume them. As long as you stay humble it can be very good to you!
THE FUTURE
I have a few things coming up but cant really talk about them because they have not officially been announced.
