Joe BryantEdward: Why did you choose this career?

Joe: Being an actor in this business is tough but consequently so is modeling, just pursuing one talent would be suicide that’s why the more marketable you are the more work your going to get there fore you need to be versatile.

Versatility is a must in this industry considering more times than not most actors trying to break into acting  get their break in either singing or modeling before they get noticed in their main focus. It’s definitely tough eating the right foods all the time, getting  enough sleep as a teen and staying in the current trend.  Hair and skin products I have to say seem be the most costly thing. Always keeping my skin clear and my hair current with my head shots seems to be the most time consuming thing.

Edward:  As a model, you have the opportunity to visit such different and cool places.

Joe BryantJoe: I would have to say  that the last stock shoot I had was very fun going to Garfield High School in Seattle, WA.  It was a school styled shoot for Getty Images dressed as a High school student.  We shot their just a week before they closed down the school for renovation and it was very very interesting. Just imaging a school with the most horrible smell and appearance ok, since you got that in mind times it by 40.

That’s where we shot, the cement floors were cracked. The bathrooms were multi colored with  paint all over the toilets and floor. The ceilings and floors had cracks in them. The walls in the class rooms were covered in provocative writing. It was definitely a disastrous school which made it more exciting.  I was just leery if the floors would collapse when I went to the bathroom…  That’s definitely the most Interesting shoot I’ve ever had.

Edward: How would you rate importance of beauty and elegance in your life?  Do you think beauty really helps a person to be successful in a career?

Joe BryantJoe: I would have to say  that everyone is beautiful and talented in their own way
and feel that it may have helped me a bit but it really depends solely on your talent. If the showcase of your talent is good and beautiful depending on what your doing, then yes I do believe it would. It is not based completely on Beauty and looks, alot  of it has to do with your personality and talent. That’s what you sell to the hiring client or with whatever you’re pursuing.

Edward: What is your greatest inspiration, your greatest professional dream like a model? Which modeling agencies, fashion campaigns and designers would you like to work for?

Joe:  My greatest inspiration I would have to say is my old school acquaintances and Parents.  To prove to them that I will be a somebody in my lifetime. That I will make it and be successful regardless of their doubts. I would have to say I would be honored to work with Abercrombie  & Fitch, Tommy Hilfiger, or any to be honest.  My ultimate dream in the  modeling field is to be featured on the cover of GQ magazine.

Edward: You own a website http://www.joeabryant.com  . What can people find there?

Joe: I designed that web site for easy access for producers, fans, and Industry professionals to view recent pictures, resume, Biography and (up to date)  current projects I’m involved with. It’s a web site that I designed myself to  feature my best look and image possible.

Joe BryantEdward: Tell us about your favorite things (movies, actor, actress, music, sport, food, books). What do you do in your free time?

Joe: I have to say I love horror movies, the scariest ones can’t seem to get enough of them. I also love  the amazingly sad movies with an amazing plot like (A walk to remember) one of my favorites. That’s definitely the type of movie I would love to star in.  I love alternative music, listening to  everything but country. I was quite the country hick while growing up listening to nothing but, now though I have to say I listen to about 45 sec of a country song and that satisfies me for another year. Hahahah sorry to those country fans… It just sounds like everyone's sobbing about this or that all the time.  It conflicts’ with my personality of being happy and upbeat. I actually grew up on a farm with nothing but country everywhere but times have changed.

Like every other nineteen year old I like hanging out with my friends. They are my life, going to  parties, clubs, riding horses (as I’ve grown up all my life with), road trips,  traveling (seeing the world), swimming, writing, freelancing for more (acting/modeling work), Helping my grandpa around his mini farm, four  wheeling, jet skiing, detailing my cars and friends cars (Used to do that as a side job), helping out people in an  act of charity, going to movies, relaxing at home, sleeping (whenever I get a chance) hahaha, Just having fun and living it up!

Edward: Family and friendship: how do think the world is dealing with these two subjects in the society we live?

Joe: I would have to say after researching these two matters, within the last 10 years people have become to abuse those around them.  Kids abusing their parents with no respect for what they do for them and parents abusing their kids in everyway to the imagination.  It also seems like so called friends stab you in the back all the time.  Especially if you watch (Judge Judy) or similar shows. Really it seems like it has went to hell.

I believe finding a true friend is hard to come by, a true friend asks nothing from you and seems to always be there. Someone that you can  really rely on and has a very supportive attitude for what you do and looks out for your best interests. It seems like everyone has forgotten what the word  friendship, family really stand for. The older generation would say our era has gone to hell.

Edward: Now Joe, leave a message for Connex readers around the world

Joe: Following your dreams is the most important thing you can do. Not caring about what your friends and family thinks but what you think and want. It’s your life and you  only live it once so why not do what YOU want to do with it.

Don't listen to your grandma or parents or whoever that wants you to be a doctor or whatever, DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO. Live life to the fullest and as I always say “It’s the  people you meet and the choices you make that determines your future”. Make it  happen don't have any regrets and always end a conversation on a positive note  as the future withhold many surprises. You never know when that last moment may  be with a loved one or close friend. The world has endless possibilities its up  to you to make it happen. Go for the GOLD!
