JAMES ELLIS is producing a 2009 calendar and plans to donate to The Humane Society, his favorite cause

HELPING THE HUMANE SOCIETY The idea of the calendar came about late last year when photographer Noel Daganta suggested it to me. I thought it was a great idea and was also a good way for me to raise awareness about my favorite charity The Humane Society. We then got together early summer for our first photo shoot in San Diego @ Presidio Park and Pacific Beach. We also spent time in the Los Angeles area at Malibu, Santa Monica, Zuma, and El Matador beaches. Our final shoot was my personal favorite, El Mirage Desert in Barstow, California.

SAND BLASTED Thinking back on the calendar shoot one very funny and unusual moment comes to mind. My six hour shoot in El Mirage desert battling the blistering sun and fierce winds. We were constantly running back to the shelter of the car to avoid getting sand blasted. It seemed like we spent just as much time running from sand storms as we did shooting the calendar.
MUSIC VIDEOS The sky is the limit. Recently I have taken part in a lot of really great projects. I was just in two music videos. I played the lead role "football jock" in a music video for the band "The Academy Is" promoting their new song, "About a Girl." Shortly thereafter I played the lead role in a music video for a group called Yumm Yumm.

BUSY MODELING I am still very busy with the modeling too. I just shot another campaign for Ed Hardy sunglasses and added a Christian Audigier sunglasses campaign to the list also. I have been in the last four issues of Men's Workout, and was also just in Muscle & Fitness, Maximum Fitness, and Exercise & Health. I just shot an infomercial for the Perfect Pull-Up too.
PASSION FOR ACTING I have recently developed a great passion for the acting industry and it has really kept me very busy. I just finished shooting an episode for a show called, "1000 Ways to Die," where I played the lead role. I also played the lead in a comedy short film called, "Not a Porno" by Robert O'Conner. In January I will be playing a lead character in a medieval film
THANKS CNNEX247 Thanks again Connex247 for another great interview and for helping me to get the word out about my 2009 calendar. My hope is that I will get a few generous individuals and companies to sponsor the calendar so that I can give to my favorite charity The Humane Society. Thanks to photographer and friend Noel Daganta for taking such great pictures and video which make this calendar possible.
