Edward: Welcome to Connex world Jabari! Let´s start our interview with your personal and professional interests. Tell us about yourself.

Jabari: I was born and raised here in LA. I went to The University of Wisconsin-Madison on a track scholarship. I started modeling and acting professionally last September. Life is good, I can't complain!!!

Edward: In this competitive world we are living, what is fame and success for you?

Jabari: For me, fame and success is the ability to make people's lives better.

Edward: What´s your opinion about the fashion world? Do you think ít's glamorous? How long have you been in this market? How did this vocation arise?

Jabari: I think the fashion world can be glamorous...for some people. But the reality is, for most people it is not! It's extremely competitve and extremely political. I've been in the market for almost 1 year. Since I was a little kid, I've wanted to make Kung Fu movies. So, I got an agent last year and started with modeling. Once I get my acting skills where I want them, I plan on making Martial Arts movies.

Edward:  If you could choose a fascinating place in the world for a campaign, which places you would you choose and why? And what about 3 places that would like to live forever. Which ones would you choose?

Jabari: I would choose Jamaica, cause that is where my mother's family is from and still reside. I would also love to do a campaign in Paris. I'm fascinated with the French culture. If I could live in any 3 places they would be Los Angeles, Paris and Jamaica. That way, I'd have a great city place, a great foreign adventure and a great island lifestyle!

Edward:  Do you have a dream? Who are your dearest persons that have been helping you achieve your dreams?

Jabari: My dream is to write and star in a movie with my sister. My sister and my best friend Jeff have been helping me achieve my dream.

Edward:  We have some quick questions that Connex readers would like to know about you. Please, answer them and tell us why.

Jabari:
Eating: Fish or meat?  Meat, i'm a carnivore at heart
Vacation: Beach or the mountains?  Beach!!! The hotter the better!
Fashion campaign: clothed or underwear? Either way, it doesn't matter. I'm
sure people would rather see me with less clothes on though.
Movies: Action film or romantic ones? Action films. Martial arts in particular.
Dating: Ask or get asked? Get asked. I like girls that have the courage to approach me, cause I'm too shy to ask.
Place to make love: at home, in the middle of a crowd, in a party or in a
paradisiac island? Paradisiac island. If you're gonna do it, do it right!
Sports: Group or individual ones? Individual ones. That way you don't have to rely on anyone. And when you win, you get all the glory!
Music: Rock or classical? Depends on my mood. If I'm chilling, Classical.  If I'm getting ready to lift or for a fight, Rock.
Politics: republicans or democrats? Democrats....I'm black
Way of travel: by train, plane, ship or bike? Plane. It's the fastest method of travel.
Best season: spring, summer , autumm or winter? Summer! The hotter the better!

Edward: Well Jabari, I want to know if you really know how to sell yourself as a real professional model. Tell us and especially to the photographers, fashion designers, executives etc why Jabari is a real nice option for the next fashion campaign?

Jabari: I'm a great option for your next fashion campaign because I have options. I can do commercial, I can do high fashion. I can look young, I can look older. I'm intelligent and I have a great personality (which is very rare in Los Angeles). I'm extremely athletic and have a great body that requires very little maintenance. I'm fun to work with and I'm always happy :)
