Edo: Thanks Dror for accepting to be interviewed by me! Please tell us something about your background.
Dror: I was born in Bet Halevi, Israel - just outside of Netanya.
Edo: How was your life like in Israel?
Dror: My life was great - Israel is not as terrible as people here sometimes think. I grew up in a small village and we always had kids around to play with. We ate fresh fruits and vegetables from our gardens - I really miss that. I use to like to take long bike rides to the beach with my friends.
I started to get interested in working out at 16 and was lucky enough to have experienced people show me the right way. At 18 I went to the army for three years. I started my training for Mr. Israel as soon as I got out of the army.
Edo: You won twice the title of Mr. Israel, tell us something about that contest.
Dror: Winning Mr. Israel was one of my most exciting days ever. It was something I'll never forget. It was also my most intense training periods. The second time around was even better because I was overall champion with 3% body fat.
Edo: Personal trainer, Model (both fitness and fashion), Actor: what is your main professional dream?
Dror: My main dream is to be successful in anything I do and right now I'm focused on my acting and modeling career - who knows where all of that will lead me.
Edo: As a model you have already worked with many famous photographers, what aspect of modeling is your favourite and what aspect is your least favourite?
Dror: Most of the time it is a great experience for me, because I get something different from every shoot and I get to meet many interesting people along the way.

Edo: Do you consider yourself attractive? What is the part of your body you like most?
Dror: That's a hard one to answer because if I say yes, I will sound arrogant, if I say no, I sound insecure, let's just say I'm somewhere in between. I see myself as a normal guy. What I really like about my body is that I'm proportion and you don't always see that in other people.
Edo: What are your personal goals?
Dror: My personal goals is to be successful in my career and to always continue to grow in life experiences.
Edo: Who is your ideal woman?
Dror: I like a women who is not only beautiful on the outside but she has to have something on the inside to offer also - like being kind, intelligent, and very important that she be self-confident.
Edo: You're a famous trainer in L.A, who are your clients and how do you motivate them? What is your training style?
Dror: My clients can range from being housewives, models, or just your average Joe. My training techniques are based on the individual - everyone is looking for something different. But I will say, that I recommend that they all do some sort of weight training - and most of my clients are very pleased with their results.

Dror Okavi was born December 28th, 1978 in Bet Halevi, Israel. Like many others, Drors biggest inspiration growing up was Arnold Schwarzenegger. At the age of 15, as a young athlete, he already knew that he wanted to be as strong and famous as his role model, Arnold. At age of 16 Dror began his training in the gym for the first time. There he met his trainer/nutritionist Yair Lav. Yair saw great potential in Dror and showed him the correct way of working out. Dror learned quickly and working out became his passion.
At the age of 18, Dror joined in the Israeli Army and served his country for three years. While in the army, he was in charge of physical training. He implemented a strenuous workout that was incorporated with their military training.
After leaving the army he went right back to the gym, and trained intensely for the Mr. Israel competition. With the help of Yair Lav and Kobi Ezra he was more determine then ever to win the championship.
Dror won his first Mr. Israel title when he was just 21 years old. At 22 years old he won Mr. Israel for the second time and won overall champion with only 3.3 % body fat! Dror became a personal trainer and did some modeling for the next few years before he decided to come to the U.S. in 2004.
He is currently a personal trainer and fitness model. He has worked with some great photographers, like Alex Ardenti, Charles Worthington, Michael Neveux and Keith Munyan. He also worked with Rich Gaspari at this year's Arnold Classic, where he met Arnold himself!
Dror currently lives in Los Angeles where he is pursuing his career as a model and actor.
