Anton Antipov: Well, I actually took time off from modelling, haven't done much of it lately, but am going to get back into it in a few months when I finally pick an agency to go with. Went through a breakup in my personal life, but hey you live and you learn, it was my fault and hopefully the same things I've done wrong before won't happen second time around.
Thinking about a career, maybe something that involves traveling, I love seeing different places, cultures, meeting different kinds of people.
Michael: You have emerged as very popular celebrity on the internet. How do you like the attention you are receiving? I did a quick Google search and found hundreds of references to you -- all of them complimentary!!!
Anton: Haha, well I'm taking everything lightly, pretty much. The biggest missconception is the fact that people think I'm some kind of a big star, to clear everything up, I'm not a big and famous model, haven't done Gucci, Prada, D&G, none of that.. just several small projects. Very grateful though to all the people who follow my progress and support me in everything that I do. Thank you guys and gals.
Michael: Does it have a downside on a personal basis to be the subject of such attention. You seem to handle it all very well.
Anton: Downside? not so much, haha. I mean every once in a while you'll have some creep coming up to you with indecent proposals, but most of the time people are nice. The good thing about being exposed to the public like this is you are being offered contracts, jobs, promotional materials, and that's a good way to get your name out there.
Michael: We have been fortunate enough to have you featured twice on Connex247 in 2006, and you are in our top ten stories of the year. Thanks for coming back as we launch the new version. Please give any comments for your many fans on this site.
Anton: I'm fortunate enough to have you guys feature me, as well as the 'fans' that are reading this at the moment. I know there haven't been a lot of material floating around , me-related, but in a few month's time I'll get back into modelling. I heard AAG (allamericanguys.com) wanted to do a second shoot with me, I haven't heard any dates yet or anything, but whoever's a member on their site, if ya'll want to see me on there, speak up. Again, thanks for everybody's support.
Michael: Share some of your plans for the rest of 2006 with us... and beyond too.
Anton: It's a confusing year for me, right now, I had everything planned out when I was in a relationship, now that it's gone, I slowly have to change and adapt to being single again. I'm leaning for a commercial real estate license at NYU this september, working in the city in such field should be a good opportunity to build up my little piggy bank. Still not sure where I want to move to yet, if I sign with an agency before fall, hopefully they'll send me overseas, so I can work there for a bit and explore europe.
Michael: Anton, I have read that you are also an artist. Tell us about this part of your life.
Anton: My dad is an artist, he is a painter, and does glass design in NYC. His work can be found is JFK memorial... he did a memorial to the TWA plane that crashed a while ago. The big jazz club called Blue Note, a huge glass design , can't miss it. He's a great inspiration to me, I started doodling around when I was little, slowly developing a style of my own. I am in such different fields as photography, graffiti work, sketching. You can find most of my work at anttek.deviantart.com in the gallery section.
Michael: We live in a world where there is such an empahsis on beautiful people (male and female) and how that is necessary for success. Give us your idea of the beautiful person!
Anton: To me, a beautiful person is somebody who has a certain type of warmth around them, that when people come in contact with them, it's not only the physical attraction, it's the way they carry themselves. A beautiful person, is a person who takes life in as a whole and doesn't take it for granted, a person who is open-minded, social, and can adapt to any situation.
